The Prince Albert Police Service is thankful a Good Samaritan helped out one of its own. On Saturday morning, an officer was called to a complaint about an intoxicated person at a local business in the 3200-block of 2nd Avenue West.

Police say when the officer went to check on the 32-year-old man, he began striking the officer.
A member of the public assisted the officer in gaining control of the suspect.
Police say no one was injured during the altercation.
The suspect is now facing charges of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
