TORONTO – Movie buffs will line King Street this week as it turns into the main hub for this year’s 40th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.

A portion of the roadway between Peter and University Streets will transform into “Festival Street” beginning Thursday until Sunday.

There will be considerable disruption to traffic in the area and motorists are advised to consider the road closure when planning their travels.

Among the activities at the event include a family zone, a free outdoor concert series, plenty of food on “Restaurant Row”, and art installations to soak up.

There will be significant TTC bus and streetcar detours as a result of the road closure and commuters are reminded to take note of the service changes.
