ROCK CREEK – Organizers of the Rock Creek Fall Fair want to dispel rumors that the fair won’t be going ahead as planned later this month.
The event will be taking place, as scheduled, September 19-20.
“Our hearts and hands are with our friends and neighbours right now, but we are still working away to bring about another ‘best ever’ Rock Creek Fall Fair,” wrote organizers in a press release on the fair’s website. “The Rock Creek Fall Fair is a yearly reminder to locals and visitors what a great area this is, full of great people – it will be no different this year.”
It will be the 70th anniversary of the annual fair which features musical performances, a midway, 4-H events and other exhibitions.
The Rock Creek Wildfire destroyed 30 homes but the fairgrounds were not impacted.
