MONTREAL – A 28-year-old man is in hospital after a shooting in Pointe-aux-Trembles.

Police received a 911 call at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning after shots were heard on 7th Avenue, near Victoria Street.

“At their arrival, they located the man, who was injured in his lower body,” said Manuel Couture with Montreal police.

“It is difficult to determine the exact circumstances of the event, mostly because the wounded man is not cooperating.”

Investigators and the K9 unit are on the scene.

The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

There have been no arrests.
