Man dies after being found in water at Beachclub

MONTREAL – A man in his early 20s has died after being found unconscious in the lake at Beachclub in Pointe-Calumet, Que.

Deux-Montagnes police received a 911 call around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The man was transported to a Saint-Eustache hospital, where he was declared dead.

Police are speaking to witnesses and said they haven’t determined if drowning is the cause of death, but it doesn’t look suspicious.

Thousands were at Beachclub to celebrate the Labour Day long weekend.

The club has been making waves recently after Kylie Jenner celebrated her 18th birthday there and Justin Bieber pulled out of his appearance about a week later.

The investigation is ongoing; police are looking at the possibility that drugs and alcohol may have been a factor.
