REGINA – Two people are facing numerous drug and weapon charges after police searched a home on Rae Street near 12th Avenue Friday evening.

Tommy Dykes, 36, and Rita Mohrbutter, 42, were arrested after officers seized a semi-automatic assault rifle, a .22 calibre rifle, morphine, three stolen bottles of prescription medicine and a small amount of cocaine.

Dykes faces 11 charges including:

  • Three charges of Possession of Stolen Property
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession of the Proceeds of Crime
  • Two charges of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
  • Two charges of Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited
  • Possession of Ammunition While Prohibited
  • Possession of Morphine for the Purpose of Trafficking

Mohrbutter faces nine charges including:

  • Three charges of Possession of Stolen Property
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession of Morphine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Two charges of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
  • Two charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

Both Dykes and Mohrbutter have been remanded and will appear in court Tuesday morning.
