WINNIPEG — Manitoba Public Insurance wants your opinion on the proposed all-in-one PIC or Personal Identification Card.  The card would combine the holder’s drivers license, photo ID, health and travel card.

MPI representatives will be stationed at mall displays around Manitoba throughout September to talk about the concept. They are also asking people to complete a survey here. MPI will also consult with other groups who may have a different perspective, opinion on the proposal like First Nations and Metis organizations, communities, Manitobans with disabilities, seniors and health care providers.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Manitoba Health, Healthy Living and Seniors and MPI came up with the joint proposal and say the allegedly tamper-free card could eliminate the need for the paper Manitoba Health card.
