Women reveal what they’d do differently if they were young again

TORONTO — In an effort to encourage younger generations to “let go,” elderly women share their wisdom in a touching video that might make you reevaluate your priorities.

In it, they speak about the constant pressure many of us put on ourselves: “pressure to be the perfect mother, the perfect wife, the perfect friend.”

Sanctuary, the company behind the video, said nearly half the women it surveyed this year admitted they felt moderately or extremely stressed. Forty per cent confessed to being close to a burn out, and 62 per cent felt their lack of “me time” was holding them back.

The women in the video encourage their younger counterparts to throw away the ‘to do’ lists, and indulge in the activities they’ve realized matter most. And ones they regret not devoting more time to.

“What I wouldn’t give,” one woman said, “for five more minutes on the dance floor while my legs were still strong enough to carry me.”
