TORONTO — Peel Regional Police are warning the public after three young children were found alone in a parked car in Mississauga.
Police responded to a call from a concerned citizen at about 12:30 p.m. on Monday, who reported three children left alone in a hot car in a parking lot near Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue East.
Police said the windows were rolled down slightly, but all of the doors were locked.

The witness reportedly stayed with the vehicle until police arrived, at which point the parents of the children returned.
All three children were unharmed, but police are using this incident to take the opportunity to warn parents that it’s never acceptable to leave young children in vehicles unattended.
Police said the hot temperatures made the situation particularly concerning, but added that children can easily get out of a locked vehicle on their own and their are many potential threats to the children if they were to leave unattended.
No charges were laid in the case.
