MTS Iceplex slated for expansion

WINNIPEG — The MTS Iceplex is getting a $7.5-million, 21,ooo-square-foot expansion, True North Sports and Entertainment announced Monday morning.

Construction will start in September, officials said at a news conference.

The two-level expansion to the hockey facility will include offices and training areas for both the Winnipeg Jets and the Manitoba Moose.

Each team will have its own entrances, meeting rooms, team lounges, sports medicine rooms and team locker rooms.
