It was determined a 44-year-old man was thought to be the person responsible for firing the shots. He was alone in a residence on the Onion Lake First Nation with a firearm, which was not his residence.

A man matching the suspect’s description was then spotted walking on Chief Taylor Road around 3 a.m. He was taken into custody around 30 minutes later following a brief foot chase.
