MONTREAL – Teachers gave Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard a piece of their minds Thursday.
Protesters interrupted the Premier’s media scrum in Saint-Georges-de Beauce, near Quebec City, to express their anger about the millions of dollars in Liberal cuts to public schools.
Couillard was at a hotel for a two day Liberal caucus; there was heavy security, but not enough to stop several members of the teachers’ union.
The protesters apparently managed to dodge security by hiding their signs until the last minute.
