Global News viewer Brian Cooke sent us this video of a close encounter with some orcas off the coast of Savary Island.
Cooke says this happened on Monday, Aug. 24, when he and his wife Lisa were boating off the coast of the island.

The whales can be seen all around the boat.
Cooke says they were staying at least 100 metres away from the whales but the orcas then turned around and headed for the boat to take a closer look.
At one point, Cooke says one of the whales ‘spat’ on him.
