WINNIPEG – A Winnipeg woman is desperate to find her companion of 20 years who flew the coop.
Daryl Frame, 58, said Giovanna, a Hahn’s macaw, was last seen two weeks ago.
The bright green parrot with a red patch on her shoulder was on her shoulder when she opened the door of her Westwood home and banged something down, Frame said.
The noise startled the bird, and it flew over her fence and never returned.
Since her pet flew off, Frame has scoured her neighbourhood, checking trees and posting flyers at veterinary offices.
Frame is offering a reward for the parrot if found and asks if anyone spots her to call the Winnipeg Humane Society.
