The TTC says crews have made temporary repairs to allow some service for the afternoon rush period.

Permanent repairs will be made after midnight.

The TTC says there will be some reductions in the number of trains and platforms being used at the two stations and travel will be slower than usual.

The commission says the problem is due to a piece of rail breaking near a cross-over switch, which caused the fail-safe mechanism to hold all trains on a red signal.
