WATCH: University freshman nails half-court shot to win free tuition

TORONTO – We’re guessing someone from the Ball Statue University accounting office is going to want a word with someone in their PR department.

Nearly two years to the day that a freshman hit a half court shot to win free tuition at the Muncie, Indiana school, another freshmen replicated the feat Thursday night.

Incoming freshmen Lem Turner was selected to take the shot as part of the pep rally for incoming students at Ball State’s Worthen Arena.

After giving away the free semester of tuition not even two years ago, the school likely felt confident that no one would replicate the shot for some time.

Unfortunately for the school, Turner displayed a “Michael Jordan flu game” level of clutch, nailing the shot as his fellow frosh went bananas in the stands.

As an out-of-state student, Turner’s free ride earned him the equivalent of $11,000 dollars US.

Not bad for three seconds work.
