Quick-thinking lifeguards save boy from near-drowning

MONTREAL – A 7-year-old boy went into cardiac arrest while swimming at a community pool in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Park-Extension Thursday night.

Around 6:35 p.m., the boy was found unconscious in the François-Perreault pool.

Lifeguards pulled him out of the water and were able to revive him.

He was transported to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
