Mounties arrested a 36-year-old man, who is considered to be armed and dangerous and wanted in connection with an alleged shooting in Chilliwack, on Tuesday afternoon.
The charges against Beau Lawrence Clark come from an incident involving a man who went to a local hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound on Aug. 10. Through their investigation, police discovered the victim was allegedly shot by the suspect while at a restaurant in the 8200-block of Eagle Landing Parkway.
After thoroughly searching the area, police were unable to locate the suspect. The victim remains in hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Police believe this was a targeted incident.
Clark is currently in custody and will be making a court appearance in September.
“Chilliwack RCMP would like to thank the general public and media for their assistance which lead to the arrest of Mr. Clark,” said Cpl Mike Rail.
