MONTREAL – A woman is in hospital after being hit by a bus on Jean-Talon Street East in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough.
The incident happened near 12th Avenue around 11 p.m. when the woman, who is in her 30s, stepped out onto the street from between two parked cars.
She stepped directly in front of a bus and was hit; witnesses said she may have been intoxicated.
Police said the bus was moving quite slowly.
The woman was taken to hospital with injuries to her head and back, but her life is not in danger.
