Summary: This was considered a safe Liberal seat when Conservative Chungsen Leung scored an upset victory here in 2011, defeating Liberal incumbent Martha Hall Findlay by just 932 votes. Leung is running for re-election. He will face new challengers from the Liberals and NDP.
Boundaries: This riding combines Newtonbrook East and West, Willowdale East and West, and Lansing-West Gate. Instead of extending east to Highway 404, the new boundary stops at Bayview Avenue.

Last Election: Conservative Leung defeated Liberal Hall Findlay by 932 votes. If these new boundaries had been in effect, the race would have been even tighter, a Conservative victory by 888 votes.
History: The Liberals took this seat from the PC Party in 1988, and won easy victories in every election from 1993 through 2008.
Demographics: In the 2011 National Household Survey, 14.3 per cent of the population said they immigrated to Canada in the last five years—the highest number in the country. 22.7 per cent of residents identified as Chinese, the seventh highest number in Ontario.
