Last Election: NDP Thibeault won with 49.9 per cent of the vote, followed by Conservative Fred Slade with 28.4 per cent.
History: This riding has been around since 1949, and it has been Liberal for most of that time. The NDP held the seat for just a year after a by-election in 1967, and then it returned to the Liberals until Thibeault’s victory in 2008. Voters here have never elected a PC or Conservative MP.
