The video was shot and shared by Geoff Golberg on Twitter.

“Spider-Man saves the day in Times Square,” Golberg tweeted.

Golberg told New York Daily News the man involved in the fight was heckling the street performer.

“The guy was harassing a number of performers, other costumed folks,” Goldberg the Daily News. “They’ve notoriously had issues with him in the past.”

However, the alleged heckler said Spider-Man is the villain in this story.

“Spider-Man threw the first punch. He’s not a hero, not at all, not even a little bit,” the man, who only gave his first name as Matthew, told NBC 4 New York.
