VANCOUVER – The B.C. coroner’s office has confirmed the identity of a Saskatchewan man who died in a swimming incident on Mara Lake. Scott Kevin Hardy Glen, 24, died in the early morning hours of Aug. 4.
He was from Saskatoon.
Officials from the coroner’s office say Glen was staying with friends on a rental houseboat moored at a marina near Sicamous.
Glen and a friend were swimming from the swim deck of the houseboat when he did not resurface.
His friends immediately called for help but a search of the area was unsuccessful.
