The debate continues over the safety of wireless hydro meters.
On Wednesday night, the City of Penticton hosted a public information forum on the controversial new wireless hydro meters. The meters use a radio frequency to report data back to power companies.

Opponents say studies have deemed the devices as unsafe.
31 communities in the province, including the Town of Oliver, have put a moratorium on the installation of the smart meters, citing health concerns.
Last spring, the World Health Organization classified radio frequency magnetic fields, like those emitted by smart meters and similar devices, as a possible cause of cancer in humans.
B.C. Hydro plans to install 1.8 million smart meters in the province by the end of the year.
