9-year-old Maine boy saves autistic brother from drowning

WATCH: A nine-year-old boy from Ashland, Maine saved his six-year-old autistic brother from drowning last week after he saw his brother lying face down in their family pool. Katie Zarrilli reports.

When nine-year-old Blake Vincent of Ashland, Maine heard a splash in his family’s pool, he didn’t expect to see his younger brother lying unconscious in the water.

“I went up there and I looked and I saw Hunter floating face down in the pool,” said Vincent about his six-year-old brother who has autism.

Without hesitation, Vincent yelled for his mother and jumped into the pool to save the six-year-old.

“If he wouldn’t have jumped in and got him, Hunter would not be with us…” Bennett said.

Bennett got into the water too and helped her youngest son regain his breath as Vincent called 911.
