Minor injuries after truck collides with family camper in Swift Current

REGINA – A family of six was fortunate to escape with minor injuries after being jolted awake early this morning in Swift Current when a truck crashed into the camper they were sleeping in.

Around 2:30 a.m. a 2012 Ford pickup truck travelling westbound on Saskatchewan Dr. crossed a median and crashed into the camper, which was parked in a nearby parking lot.

Two adults and four children were sleeping in the camper at the time. They were taken to Cypress Regional Hospital where they were treated for their injuries and released.

RCMP say road and weather conditions were good at the time and alcohol is thought to be a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
