LABRADOR CITY, N.L. – Contract negotiations have resumed between the Iron Ore Company of Canada and the United Steelworkers Union in Labrador.
Talks began in mid-December but broke off in early February.

A conciliator was brought in about a week later.
The main issue is a provision that lets the company bring workers to and from the job site by plane, rather than letting them live in Labrador City.
The union is opposed to the provision.
