WINNIPEG – Police were called to a federal funding announcement in Winnipeg Thursday after a man showed up the event with an air horn.
Global News was there as Robert Kury interrupted a media conference to announce federal funding for an underpass at the intersection of Waverley Street and Taylor Avenue.

Conservative MP Joyce Bateman, was joined by Drew Caldwell, the provincial municipal government minister, and Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman to announce federal-provincial funding of up to $91,800,000.
Kury said he is upset because there will be too many vehicles coming through the area.
“The city is short-sighted,” he said.
Police were called and spoke with Kury who left after the announcement was over.
