Sherbrooke boy hit after vehicle drives onto curb

SHERBROOKE – Police are speaking to an 18-year-old driver involved in a hit and run that happened just after 8 a.m Thursday morning.

A 4-year-old boy was struck as he walked with his mother on Thibault Street in Ascot, near Sherbrooke.

Reports say the driver was distracted and accidentally drove up the sidewalk.

The boy suffered minor injuries and his mother was not injured.

He has since been released from hospital.
