Upgrades coming for Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park

SHUBENACADIE, N.S. – The federal government is providing $400,000 for upgrades to an interpretive centre and trail system at a popular park in Nova Scotia.

The province is also spending $200,000 over three years on the work at the Ducks Unlimited interpretive centre and the Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park.

The funding will be used to improve exhibits, the gift shop and air conditioning, and create a food services area.

The province says new signs will be installed and trails will be enhanced.

The interpretive centre and trail network opened in 2006 and span four hectares of land.

The centre offers educational programs and interactive displays on wetlands and wildlife.
