A 91-year-old man is being investigated by New Westminster police after a newly-installed Pride crosswalk was vandalized Monday night.
Witnesses contacted police after they observed an elderly man pour paint on the rainbow-coloured crosswalk, located at Church Street and Columbia Street.
Police located a suspect a short distance away.

City crews washed away the paint. The New Westminster resident was taken to hospital for evaluation and is being investigated for mischief.
The Pride crosswalk was unveiled early Monday.
