Edmonton man arrested and charged in large drug bust

EDMONTON – A 25-year-old Edmonton was arrested and charged Friday after police performed a drug bust in the northeast end of the city.

Duy Hong Do has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000, and one count of breach of probation.

Edmonton police and Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Enoch RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in northeast Edmonton. Police seized 274 grams of cocaine with a street value of about $27,000, and 622 grams of MDA with a street value of about $31,000. Nearly $20,000 in cash, and two vehicles were also seized.

Do will appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on August 19th.

He has been released from custody until his court appearance.
