A sedan collided with a motorcycle in Surrey Saturday night, killing the male rider and seriously injuring his female passenger.
Around 9 p.m., a sedan travelling west on 8th Ave. was turning left onto 172nd St. when it collided with a motorbike, sending the man and woman flying. The 32-year-old driver of the motorcycle was killed on impact, while the 22-year-old female passenger was transported from the scene by air ambulance in serious condition.
The driver of the car was not injured and is co-operating with investigators, who say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
