West end road closures to watch out for this weekend

MONTREAL – It’s going to be difficult to get off the island this weekend – at least for people who live in the west end.

The exits from the Decarie Expressway heading south to the Champlain Bridge and to Highway 20 West will be closed for roadwork.

The Girouard Avenue entrance to Highway 15 South towards the Champlain Bridge will also be closed.

Quebec’s transport authorities suggest detouring via the Ville Marie Expressway to Guy Street before heading back to Highways 15 South and 20 West.

The closure begins Friday at 11 p.m. and the ramps are scheduled to reopen Monday at 5 a.m.
