RCMP search for missing rifle of Sawyer Robison

RCMP investigating the shooting of two police officers near Killam say they are still searching for at least one additional missing weapon.

They are looking for a Colt semi automatic rifle. The model is a Law Enforcement Carbine, 556mm NATO Semi-Auto.

About 25 RCMP members have been combing an area southeast of Killam since Tuesday using service dogs and Special Tactical Operations.

Police believe Sawyer Robison, the man charged with two counts of attempted murder in the case, had the rifle.

Robison was arrested last week and is now in custody.

The two officers injured in the shooting have been released from hospital and are recovering.
