Canadians Houle, MacKinnon and Glaesser take medals in individual time trial at Pan Am Games

MILTON, Ont. – Canadian Hugo Houle has won gold in the men’s road cycling individual time trial at the Pan Am Games.

Houle, of Ste-Perpetue, Que., finished the 37-kilometre race in 45 minutes, 13.4 seconds.

Mexico’s Ignatio Prada was second, 1:17.87 back of Houle, while Sean MacKinnon of Hamilton, Ont., took bronze.

Vancouver’s Jasmin Glaesser won silver in the 19.5-kilometre women’s individual time trial in 27:01.31.

Kelly Catlin of the United States was first in 26:25.585 and El Salvador’s Evelyn Garcia earned the bronze medal in 27:20.24.
