A Vernon skier carved his way onto the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday.
In early February, Josh Dueck, 31, who trains at Silver Star, defied gravity and completed a back flip in a sit ski while at Whistler.
Video of the amazing fear went viral, which is how Dueck found himself chatting with Ellen.
In 2004, Dueck, who was working as a ski coach, was going too fast while demonstrating a jump and fell more than 30 metres onto his back.

Dueck broke his neck and severed his spinal cord. In that moment, he became permanently paralyzed from the waist down.
Dueck finished first in the sit-skier category at the IPC World Championships in 2009 and won silver at the 2010 Paralympics Games in Vancouver.
