Producers sent Jennifer Hudson in to the spotlight in remembrance of Whitney Houston to sing the first notes from “I Will Always Love You.”

Houston made the Dolly Parton song into a huge success on the soundtrack from the 1992 movie, “The Bodyguard.”

The crowd was silent as Hudson sang.
