CALGARY – Country superstar Miranda Lambert has cancelled her Calgary concert due to illness.

She was scheduled to take the stage at the Saddledome on Thursday, July 9th – just one day before her husband and fellow country superstar Blake Shelton performs.

However, organizers announced on Tuesday that Lambert wouldn’t be able to perform due to serious inflammation of her vocal chords.

“We understand that this news is disappointing for fans,” says Paul Rosenberg, Chief Operating Officer.

In addition, organizers say tickets will be valid for a single admission to Stampede Park between July 8th and July 12th.

“I’m so sorry that I can’t be at Stampede this week,” said Lambert.

“I’ll be back in Calgary just as soon as I can for all of my Stampede fans.”

Lambert’s July performance in Calgary was the only concert she had scheduled in Alberta in 2015.
