CALGARY – Calgary police have arrested and charged an Ottawa man in connection with eight Calgary bank robberies.
Abdulrizak Osman Jeyte, 29, was wanted on warrants across Canada, and charged with eight counts of robbery on Monday.
Different locations of CIBCs and Scotiabanks in Calgary were robbed between August 2014 and January of this year.
Police said Jeyte would pose as a customer, wait in line and then produce a robbery note collecting an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was injured during these incidents.
Jeyte’s next court appearance is July 6 at 9 a.m.
