VERNON – The Mounties in Vernon are warning residents of a door-to-door scam artist.
Police say in the past three days, the man has been mostly targetting elderly homeowners asking for $30 for various reasons.
He has been working the area of 48th Avenue to 30th Avenue.
The suspect has a thin build, is in his late 20’s to early 30’s, and was wearing shorts and a red baseball cap.
RCMP Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy cautions the public to be “money smart” and to report any suspicious activity, especially if they’re concerned for their safety.
