Serial thief facing several charges in Regina

REGINA – A 22-year-old man is facing several charges after a few robberies in Regina over the last several weeks.

On June 1st police were called to the 3100 block of Avonhurst Drive where it’s alleged a man had just stolen a bike and was attempting to ride off while carrying a large TV.

Police found and located 22-year-old Andrew James Debruycker who was in possession of a stolen bike, a stolen TV, and other miscellaneous items believed to be stolen as well.

Debruycker is facing Theft charges, and was released from police custody on a promise to appear in court on July 14th.

On June 29th police were called to the 8300 block of Struthers Crescent where a man appeared to be unconscious in the driver’s seat of a car. When police arrived, they determined that the car was stolen a day later and arrested Debruycker again for Possession of Stolen Property.

Debruckyer is now facing more theft charges, including Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, and Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking.

Debruckyer made his first court appearance on his charges Tuesday morning.
