UPDATE: The search for a man and woman in their mid-50’s who failed to return from a day hike Monday to Glacier Lake has entered its third day. According to Cpl. Dave Tyreman with North District Advisory NCO, Cathedral Lakes Lodge staff said the pair left at around 10 a.m. for the hike and were expected to return by supper time. Staff at the lodge conducted a brief search themselves when the couple didn’t return, but they were unable to find them and called police. Tyreman says the upper camp from where the two went missing was at about a 6,800 ft elevation level. He says Keremeos RCMP got the report of the overdue hikers at 8:36 p.m. on Monday.
