Queensland Police say the accident happened on June 18, when the 23-year-old motorcyclist was travelling south on Gympie Road shortly after school ended for the day.

According to police, the motorcycle ran a red light just as traffic started moving the other way. He tried to cut in the gap between two cars but was clipped by an SUV and sent flying.

But the near-misses didn’t stop there. Moments later, another motorcycle avoided slamming into another car in the intersection.

According to police, the first rider is in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. No one else was seriously hurt in the incident.
