On Sunday, Robert Read, Nicholas’s father told Global News his son walked to the Denny’s and Flying J in Headingly.  He convinced one of the truckers to take him to Toronto.

Once they arrived in Pickering, the trucker called police.  Since there was a Canada Wide Warrant issued for Nicholas, officers rushed to the gas station where Nicholas was dropped off and taken to a police station.

Officers kept the 16-year-old overnight.
