KELOWNA — A Kelowna woman is $500,000 richer, cashing in on a Lotto Max Extra draw last week.
Michelle Schulte matched all four extra numbers in the June 12 draw with the ticket she purchased on PlayNow.com.
It wasn’t until two days later she received an email, telling her she’d won big.

“I followed the link and I didn’t quite understand or believe it. I had to ask my son if this was real,” recalled Schulte.
“We all jumped up and down and started calling our family and friends to let them know this windfall had come our way,” Schulte said, smiling. “The whole experience has been amazing.”
She plans to spend some of her winnings on a family trip, potentially a helicopter adventure, and use the rest towards her retirement.
