HALIFAX – Nova Scotia RCMP say a suspect in a violent robbery in the Halifax area last week may now be in New Brunswick.

Police say 33-year-old Clinton James Christie of Halifax may be in possession of a weapon, so are asking the public not to approach him, but call 911 instead.

During the robbery on June 8, two men entered a home on Colgrove Avenue in Upper Sackville, NS and tied up a 41-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman and a 13-year-old youth. They stole items from the home then fled in a car. The residents were later able to free themselves and call police.

A short time later, the police stopped a car and arrested the two men inside. The car was towed to a police compound. It was only later that police learned that two men were inside the trunk, and were able to slip out of the compound undetected. One of the men was later arrested; Christie was the other man.
