All westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway are closed at Park Lawn Rd. due to a multi-vehicle crash. At least six people have been taken to hospital. One person has been arrested on alcohol-related charges.
A crew repainting diamonds on the temporary high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane for the Pan Am games was involved in the crash, which happened early on Thursday morning.

One vehicle struck a work crew just before 4 am. A second vehicle became involved and rolled over. Several people had to be extracted from their vehicles by paramedics.
All those involved in the crash are expected to survive. The westbound Gardiner has re-opened but the ramp at Park Lawn Ave. is still closed
