HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police have arrested a 48-year-old man and charged him with 10 counts of voyeurism in relation to 10 separated incidents.
Cst. Pierre Boudage says the arrest happened yesterday at a home on Purcell’s Cove Road. Bourdages will not identify the man until charges against him are sworn in court, which could happen any time between now and 10 days before his next scheduled court appearance on July 23.
Police will confirm the man was also charged with voyeurism in April.
An April media release from Halifax Regional Police says that charge stemmed from an incident on Cunard Street that happened in July 2014. Police say a victim visited the accused’s place of business on Cunard street, and when she went to the washroom, she realized she was being video taped, so left and immediately reported the matter to police.
On April 2, 48-year-old Eugene Richard Daniels was arrested after he turned himself in to police. He was interviewed and released, and was scheduled to appear in court on May 20 to face one charge of voyeurism. He was placed under conditions not to communicate with the victim and not possess any electronic device equipped with a camera.
