TORONTO – A 35 year-old-man is in hospital after a shooting near Jane and Wilson.
Police received several calls for shots fired and arrived in the area just after 3 a.m. Friday morning.
Officers found shell casings in the parking lot of a strip plaza but no victim.
Const. Victor Kwong says a few minutes later a shooting victim arrived at a local hospital, and officers determined it was linked to the call.
The male victim, with gunshot wounds, was conscious and breathing.
Toronto paramedics then transported the man to a trauma centre.
The current condition of the victim is unknown.
Police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
No word on possible suspects.
The Forensic Unit is on scene investigating.
